WELL-respected artist and teacher, John
Adam, will be exhibiting paintings and draw-
ings at the Saraghi Art Space, opening on Sat-
urday, November 12, from 1pm-3pm.
John is an award-winning artist, known for
his ability to work in a variety of styles and me-

DUE to council commitments, Cr Pamela
Rothfield, who was to be the speaker at the next
Historical Society meeting, is now unfortunate-
ly unable to attend.
The meeting will be held tonight, Wednesday,
November 9, starting 7.30pm at the Heritage
Centre meeting room, 89 Thompson Avenue,
Instead of Pamela’s talk the subcommittee
who have been working with an editor on the
development of a new ‘History of Phillip Island’
DVD will show a final draft of the DVD.
The subcommittee is seeking feedback about
the DVD and members and visitors are welcome
to come along and contribute their constructive
criticism after the showing of the DVD.

Phillip Island Jazz Festival coming up fast
THE 2016 Jazz Festival is less than two weeks
Scheduled to run over the weekend of No-
vember 18-20, the scene is well set for the Bass
Room at Ramada Resort to light up with many of
Australia’s finest musicians in attendance.
If you like music from the 10s 20s and 30s

“A bit of blues and maybe some soul. We’ve got it.
“A touch of boogaloo! We’ve got that too.
“Any other genre We’ve probably got that as

James Maddock and Friends, Southside Jazz,
Jules Boult With The Redeemers, Royal Austra-
lian Navy Jazz Band, Creole Bells Revival Band,
Beverly Sheehan, Shirazz, Doctor Crask and His
Swingin’ Elixir, The Cope Street Parade and The
