AOD Treatment Services Team
Full time position
Applications are called from self-motivated workers with
a minimum Diploma qualication in Drug and Alcohol to
take up this position within the Bass Coast Health, Drug
and Alcohol Treatment Team.
The successful person will have a 0.7 EFT Counselling al-
location. The remaining 0.3 EFT of this role will be re-
sponsible for the delivery and performance of the Family
Drug Support Project, a component of the State Govern-
ment's 4 year Ice Action Plan. A Program Delivery Plan
has been endorsed.
The Family Support Worker 's focus is to provide a range
of community based awareness raising activities for the
families of users. The aim is to enhance community
knowledge of pathways to a range of services available,
as part of the social model of health. An 'open group
program' for family members is a feature of the Delivery

Interplast also sends volunteer teams of
plastic surgeons and other health profes-
sionals to provide plastic and reconstruc-
tive surgery to people who would otherwise
not be able afford access to these services.
Interplast needs child
Many people requiring surgery are chil-
dren under 10.
Cleft lip and palate repairs and complica-
tions from burns are common operations.
These children are smaller than our chil-
dren but have to wear adult theatre gowns
for their operation.
Interplast does not have the resources to
access children's theatre gowns, and have
asked for community help.
The Inner Wheel Club of Phillip Island
has taken up the challenge.
They are making theatre gowns from
bright cotton fabrics and op shop sheets
and doona covers.
It will need to be an ongoing project.
These children have so little, that when
they put the gowns on, they expect to take

and unwanted sheets and doona covers will
