The Cowes CWA President Karen Graham recently presented a 10 year Service Award to Jennifer Walsh.
Jennifer is the current Social Issues, International and Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) Officer and received a certificate and badge recognising her decade of service.
ACWW is the world's largest organisation for rural women. It continues to work for the empowerment of rural women and the improvement of rural communities by amplifying their voices and working with grassroots partners to fund local projects.
Every year, around April 29, members worldwide enjoy a "Women Walk the World" occasion.
This year Cowes members, along with two Wonthaggi Owl members, enjoyed a tranquil Heritage Walk, taking the Cowes East Walk, guided by informative pamphlets available from the Information Centre.
