Join in World Labyrinth Day
1 min read

The San Remo Labyrinth Walk, scheduled for Saturday May 4, at 1pm, is part of the 16th annual World Labyrinth Day walk.

This global initiative, celebrated in every time zone, unites people in sacred activism, symbolising life's peace and harmony. By participating, you contribute to this powerful collective action.

"During the stillness of the walk, we not only focus on today's wars, with the deaths of innocent people impacting their essentials and way of life in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip," said organiser Lorraine Rodda.

"As we take this walk, we recognise the history of occupation and the struggles of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for recognition, equity, and justice. Unfortunately, these issues remain unresolved, even after 236 years."

Lorraine said taking a break from your daily routine and walking in a labyrinth space can be a transformative experience.

"We look forward to seeing you on this walk and the following walk, to be held during Reconciliation Week on Saturday June 1, at 1pm."

Location: Drive along Back Beach Road in San Remo and continue along the unmade road past Lions Park. The Labyrinth is on the right, alongside a row of cypress trees. The Labyrinth is maintained by Bass Coast Shire Council.
