102 candles for Sylvia

Sylvia Carter celebrated her 102nd Birthday last Friday at Phillip Island Bakery with a cake especially made for her.

Sylvia was born in Leongatha on April 30 1919 and has lived at Rhyll for 74 years. 

She is a regular having coffee at the Bakery each week.

Over the last weeks she has had grandchildren visit and then a lunch with her children, so birthday celebrations were well spread out.

Sylvia fills in her days knitting squares for rugs that the Salvation Army find homes for, and she does crosswords and enjoys her coffees out. 

It is wonderful she has reached this great age, and is still well.

We wish her many more years of health and happiness.
