The Rhyll boat ramp was pressure washed about three weeks ago to remove slippery algae, according to Bass Coast Shire. Following the $4.5 million upgrade of the Rhyll ramp in September 2022, boaties have made numerous complaints about the slipperiness of the ramp. An additional 'scabbling' treatment was also applied to the surface last May, which roughens the concrete surface.
