Peter Paul, Chair of the San Remo, Cowes and Grantville Bendigo Community Bank, said this week the community bank has donated over 40 defibrillators to community organisations and local halls committees, for use by the community in times of emergency.

The bank has invested in excess of $100,000 toward the health and welfare of our community in this way, Mr Paul said.

The defibrillators have been placed strategically within the community, so that they are visible and accessible, should the need for one in an emergency arises.

The latest recipient of a lifesaving defibrillator is the Phillip Island Football Netball Club (PIFNC).

The Bendigo Community Bank stepped up last week to replace the Club’s previous defibrillator, which was stolen.
