Access policy open for comment
Bass Coast Shire Council has released its Draft Fair Access Policy and Draft Action Plan open for feedback.
Bass Coast Shire Council has released its Draft Fair Access Policy and Draft Action Plan, which it says is aimed at eliminating barriers associated with accessing and using our community sports facilities.
In a post on its engagebasscoast website, the council stated: "Recognising the importance of equal opportunities for all, this policy strives to create a level playing field where individuals can engage in sports and physical activities free from discrimination or prejudice."
The community is encouraged to give their feedback on the draft policy and action plan, to ensure it meets the needs and expectations of the community.
"Together, we can break down barriers, create equal opportunities, and build a stronger sense of unity within our sporting community," the council said.
A copy of the draft plan is available on the engagebasscoast website.
Feedback is open until April 21.
Three information sessions will be held on March 25:
Berninneit, Cowes: 1pm - 2pm.
Wonthaggi Library: 4pm - 5pm
Online: 5pm - 7pm
