On Friday April 11 a family of four at Smiths Beach had to be assisted to shore by other surfers and beachgoers.

Another beach rescue
Local surfers and other beachgoers helped rescue a family of four at Smiths Beach outside of patrol hours on April 11. Fortunately an off-duty life saver was close by and ran down to assist. One man was pulled from the water in a semi-conscious state.
