Anu brings heart and soul to show

It was a generation-spanning full house when Christina Anu appeared at Berninneit, performing songs from her latest album "Waku" - exploring the rich cultural heritage of the Torres Strait Islands, as well as hits from across her 27-year long career.

During the performance, Christine drew parallels between Bass Strait and the Torres Strait, and reminisced her last visit to Phillip Island had been on her birthday.

The audience was held enthralled by the powerful performance of tracks from "Waku", sang along with "Island Home" and were out of their seats singing and dancing by the final song.

After the show, Christine chatted with audience members, some of whom were reduced to tears by the performance.
