Army cadet opportunities

Interested in learning more about Army Cadets?

The 317 ACU, based in Wonthaggi, is hosting a Recruit and Parent information night for young people aged 13-17 years and their families, on Tuesday July 14.

The session runs from 7pm to 8pm at Wonthaggi North Primary School.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Enrolment forms will be available on the night.

Parents, please bring your child's birth certificate to verify their age.

The Australian Army Cadets program provides exciting opportunities to develop valuable life skills, leadership, teamwork, resilience and confidence.

Cadets participate in a mix of theoretical and practical training, including navigation, fieldcraft, bush activities, adventure training and leadership development in the Australian bush.

Each semester, cadets who have demonstrated commitment and leadership potential may be selected by their Youth Training Team and approved by the Unit Commander to attend leadership courses at Puckapunyal Military Area.

These week-long courses are held during the June/July school holidays and again in early December.
