Arockalypse Now at the Westernport Hotel on August 5, features an amazing line up of independent music, including Jungle Jim Smith.

An amazing line up of local independent music, from Bass Coast and beyond is coming to the Westernport Hotel in San Remo on August 5.

Arockalypse Now features an extraordinary lineup of bands set to perform on two impressive stages. This event promises to be an exhilarating experience for music enthusiasts, so make sure you get your tickets now.

The organisers have curated an incredible selection of artists that will leave the audience in awe. The return of Arockalypse Now is bound to create a buzz and offer an unforgettable musical experience.

Things will kick off with the electrifying performance of Jungle Jim Smith, delivering his unique blend of solo-styled punk blues. Reminiscent of artists like Bob Log III and Jon Spencer, Jungle Jim is sure to captivate the audience with his raw energy and powerful sound.

Following closely is Rex Dante, a talented three-piece band hailing from Naarm/Melbourne. Fans of Royal Blood and Queens of the Stone Age are in for a treat as Rex Dante’s dynamic and hard-hitting performance delivers a thrilling experience.

Things step up a notch when Speed Mullet take to the stage. This electrifying band will unleash their manic electro punk styles, creating a sonic fusion reminiscent of Amyl and the Sniffers colliding with Suicide. Their energetic sound combines elements of punk, electronic music, and raw attitude. Be prepared for a wild ride.

Prepare to be transported to a soul-drenched psychedelic realm with Nick Carver and the Mean St Butchers. This talented band is known for their captivating blend of rock music infused with elements of soul and psychedelia. Their previous notable support of The Tea Party at The Westernport, demonstrates their ability to captivate audiences and share the stage with renowned acts.

Sandy Dish combines punk rock sensibilities with a strong feminist perspective. Their infectious energy and compelling stage presence and explosive Fem Punk performance promises to be a standout moment.

Get ready to be swept away by the dishevelled coastal rock sounds of The Sand Brothers, a local band who have recently released their debut album this year. Formed in 2020, The Sand Brothers can be considered a supergroup of sorts, featuring the talents of Greg Walker from Machine Translations and Rick Sands from The Night Party.

Last up is the amazing Queenie, the trash queen alter-ego of Melbourne musician Eloise Thetford (ex Héloise, Bone Shack and Badgers). Her live shows shake, shudder and smoulder with fiery charisma and freewheeling stagecraft when she’s performing with her band, a rogues’ gallery of Melbourne’s finest musicians.
