Bass Coast College’s top student, Connor Sim of Inverloch received an ATAR of 98.7.

Assistant Principal Philip Hughes said the mark reflected Connor’s consistent high level of achievement, saying he’d received multiple academic achievements and awards throughout his six years at the College.

Connor’s interest and strengths in mathematics will see him embark on a science degree at Melbourne University.

Mr Hughes said the College congratulated all the senior students who completed their schooling this year.

“We are proud of the efforts and achievements of all our students.”

He said both students and staff had to adjust to a full year of face-to-face learning, after the disruption of the previous years.

“In particular, the Year 12 cohort have displayed resilience and dedication as independent learners in completing their final year of schooling – an admirable feat considering the demands of VCE,” Mr Hughes said.

“These achievements have been made across a diverse range of subject areas, including VCE, VCAL and VET.”

He said there had been some exceptional individual results amongst the top students, with some of the Year 11 students already achieving a number of 40+ study scores.

“We wish all of our students well as they embark on the exciting next stage in their lives, whether it be in employment, trade apprenticeships or further study.”
