"Blood boils" at state's new tax
Councillors described new the State Government Emergency Services and Volunteers Fund as an "unfair, unjust tax" that will cost Bass Coast Shire ratepayers more than $5 million, hitting farmers the hardest. The new levy will fund the CFA, SES, Triple Zero and a range of other emergency services.
