Breakers are back on the field
Benita Russell – the incoming women’s coach for 2024.

After a quiet break in the off season, the Phillip Island Breakers Soccer Club are preparing for a bigger and better 2024 season ahead.

It is with great pleasure we announce our coach for the Breakers Women’s team, Benita Russell.

Benita has long been influential at the club in many roles including player, committee member and parent. We are excited to see what she brings to this new role.

“I'm so happy to be a part of Phillip Island Breakers Soccer Club as the Women's coach for 2024.

“My goal this year is to create a safe and supportive environment for our newer players to come and try out, a fun space for our younger players and to challenge our returning player all season.

“As a past player, parent and committee member, I love the club and it's fantastic to be involved in a new way.”

In junior news, the club are looking forward to welcoming new and existing juniors to the pitch with 'Come and Try' sessions for players ages 5 to 14.

These sessions are open to all children and families considering joining the club and will take place on Tuesday, March 5 and Tuesday, March 12 from 5pm at Newhaven Recreation Reserve.
