Bush stone curlews go wild

After a five-decade absence, bush stone-curlews will again be seen in the wild on Phillip Island.

The Koala Conservation Reserve is home to captive bush stone-curlews in two large aviaries, which have produced a couple of chicks, to be included in the program to recover the species in the wild. Nature Parks deputy research director Dr Duncan Sutherland is pictured outside the aviary.
