An appointment with Karra is about more than just your hair.

"I am a hairstylist by profession, but my true calling lies in igniting that spark of self-assurance in every woman that walks through my doors," said Karra.

"This venture is not just a job; it's my passion, my happy place, and I take immense pride in the unwavering consistency in the services I offer."

Karra's passion for hair began over 26 years ago, when she started as a junior in the hair industry at the age of 13.

"Even before this, I made my first hair portfolio with a disposable camera, using my siblings and mother as my models at the age of 10," confides Karra.

"That was when I really knew I wanted to be a hair stylist. I remember first being inspired by Julie Anne Rossl who was an apprentice. I'll never forget meeting her at Studio 71, she always dressed immaculately and gave me the Rachel haircut.

"I love working with women, and truly believe that every woman has inner beauty and strength, and this has always resonated with me."

Five and a half years ago Karra started her own home salon business, driven mainly by "wanting to be the best (single) mum for my daughter, to be consistently present in her life".

"My sanctuary is not just a salon; it's a haven crafted to make you feel safe and at ease to be yourself and shine," Karra said.

"Witnessing the radiant smiles as my clients leave my salon is the highlight of my day, knowing I have positively contributed to theirs."

Now that her daughter is older, Karra's business hours are extending.

"I am so very grateful for the ongoing community support, and I am now able to take on new clients.
