The Y Phillip Island has introduced 24/7 gym access and new programs.
The Y Phillip Island has expanded on community health and wellbeing with 24/7 gym access and the return of fitness programs – getting more people, more active, more often.
The Y Phillip Island is proud to announce the introduction of 24/7 gym access, removing barriers for the community to prioritise their wellbeing.
In addition to this development, we are thrilled to present an array of new programs that reflect our commitment to engaging and supporting the community.
The heart of our recent initiatives lies in the Y Phillip Island's new 24/7 gym access, a further step towards inclusivity and accessibility.
We understand some community members face challenges in adhering to traditional gym hours, hindering their ability to participate in fitness activities.
With our upgraded security systems and streamlined entry process, the Y Phillip Island now opens its doors round-the-clock, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their schedule, can enjoy accessible facilities and pursue their health goals.
Area manager Rebecca Wilson commented: “This upgrade to the facilities both in Cowes and Wonthaggi, provides an opportunity for people to exercise in a safe, welcoming space anytime of the day.
Reducing barriers for shift workers, busy parents, anyone really, is important to community.”
Thanks to Bass Coast Shire Council for their support in allowing these facilities to be fitted with the latest technology and upgrades to make this possible.
Timetable
To complement the expanded accessibility, boxing and kickboxing returns to our live timetable.
These technique-based classes promote physical fitness and self-confidence in an engaging and supportive environment.
Furthermore, Les Mills Body Attack has been introduced to our virtual in-house timetable.
This high energy workout combines dynamic movements with energizing music, providing an immersive fitness experience for participants via our onsite virtual studio.
At the Y, we firmly believe healthy, happier communities start with accessible wellness opportunities.
The launch of 24/7 gym access, along with our diverse range of classes and programs exemplifies our unwavering support for the growth and wellbeing of every individual.
We extend an open invitation to all members of the community to join us in their journey towards a healthier future.
Whether you are interested in experiencing our new 24/7 gym access, participating in live fitness classes, accessing personalised fitness programming, enrolling your child into one our pre-school or school gymnastics programs, or joining events, we are here to support you.
