There have been more than 40 emergency calls on Western Port so far this summer.

Glenn Manning, from Western Port's Volunteer Marine Rescue. The majority of callouts in summer were "RACV-style" including not enough fuel in boats or flat batteries, as well as rescues including paddleboarders misreading wind conditions and blown offshore.
