Western Port Biosphere Foundation and Melbourne Water are holding a community forum, All Things Western Port.
The forum, on Thursday August 31 from 10am to 3pm at Hastings, is designed to connect Western Port stakeholders and community members to discuss the challenges and opportunities of this region.
“Come along and listen to research updates and progress of key environmental work taking place within Victoria’s only UNESCO listed biosphere,” program manager Glenn Brooks-MacMillan said.
The biosphere includes Phillip Island and was recognised by UNESCO 20 years ago and is one of only five biospheres in Australia.
Biospheres promote sustainable development based on community work and sound science.
Register by August 24 for catering purposes.
