Celebrating 40 years in banking

I began my banking journey more than 40 years ago (hard to believe I know) straight out of school.
More importantly I started with Community Banking in Warburton. I spent 11 wonderful years there, surrounded by an incredible community in the Yarra Valley that truly embodied what community banking is all about.
Twelve years ago, I ventured down to Phillip Island, where I've had the privilege of working across all three branches - Cowes, San Remo and Grantville - now proudly calling Cowes my home branch.
What makes community banking so special is the real, tangible impact we can make.
I'm incredibly proud to say that together we have contributed over $6 million back into our local community.
Being part of a regional town and seeing that money flow back into local schools, clubs, sporting groups and initiatives gives you a deep sense of purpose.
It fills me with pride every day to work with our group and serve a community that supports one another so strongly.
After two decades in community banking I can honestly say - community banking isn't just a job, it's a privilege.
