CFA barbeque

The monthly Phillip Island Fire Brigade barbeque fundraiser on Saturday March 7, from 9am to 3pm, outside Coles in Thompson Avenue, Cowes is raising money to help the Whiteheads Creek-Tarcombe brigade.

"Whiteheads Creek-Tarcombe is a small brigade in North Central Victoria that was impacted by the recent Longwood Fires," explained Tim Anderson, Community Safety Coordinator with the Phillip Island Fire Brigade.

"The brigade was extremely accommodating to the Bass Coast Strike Team when we were up there helping."

The Bass Coast Strike Team deployed to the Longwood fires over six days in shifts from January 10-16.
