CFA's Cancer Council fundraiser

On Saturday November 22, members of the San Remo CFA brigade are raising money for the Cancer Council. Brigade captain Mark Thiele lost his sister Karen to cancer in 2022 and Mark is undertaking the 2026 Winter Shitbox Rally with his brother-in-law, and Karen's husband, Ric Pearce.

Mark Thiele (right) and brother-in-law Ric Pearce are tackling the Shitbox Rally to raise money for the Cancer Council, in honour of Karen, Mark's sister and Ric's wife who died in 2022. Proceeds from the CFA barbeque on November 22 will go to their Cancer Council fundraising target.
