Community spirit shines at Rotary Charity Golf Day

Held in near-perfect conditions, the event brought together golfers, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters for a day that was as enjoyable as it was meaningful.
With blue skies overhead and the course in superb condition, participants embraced the opportunity for friendly competition, laughter, and connection.
But beyond the great weather and good-natured rivalry, the day carried a deeper purpose - and the community responded generously.
By the final putt, an impressive $13,800 had been raised, with all proceeds directed towards supporting the Phillip Island Community Hospital.
The result stands as a powerful reflection of what can be achieved when a community comes together behind a shared cause.
Organisers from the Rotary Club praised the collective effort that made the day possible, highlighting the contributions of players, sponsors, and volunteers alike.
"This event is a wonderful example of community in action," the club President, Gea Lovell said.
"It's not just about golf - it's about people coming together to make a real difference."
The Rotary Club also extended its sincere thanks to the many sponsors whose support was instrumental in the day's success.
