Member for Bass, Jordan Crugnale MP has announced that 12 clubs across the Bass electorate are some of the 544 clubs across the state receiving grants through the Sporting Club Grants Program.
There is also a new round now open for applications.
The Program provides grants of up to $1000 for uniforms and equipment, up to $1500 for resources that improve governance and engagement, up to $5000 for projects to strengthen volunteering and officiating, up to $5000 to deliver a new sport or recreation program and up to $750 to support athlete travel.
"Congratulations to our grant recipients," said Ms Crugnale.
"We look forward to seeing more people of all ages and abilities having the opportunity to participate - whether playing, volunteering or coaching - building skills, confidence and connections through sport."
The successful local community sport organisations included Cowes Yacht Club, Phillip Island Bicycle User Group, Phillip Island Boardriders Club and the Phillip Island Soccer Club.
The Westernport Tennis Club, Sang-Rok Wonthaggi Judo Club, Wonthaggi Workmens Cricket Club, Woolamai Riding for the Disabled.
Bass Coast Thunder Netball Club, Cranbourne South Tennis Club, Inverloch Cricket Club and Inverloch Tennis Club were also successful.
Applications for the new round of the Sporting Club Grants close on April 7.
