Who said chivalry is dead? Jane Daly joined the Covid test queue in Cowes at 5.30am on Sunday, only to find herself with a flat tyre. Thanks to Shane – who was working on traffic management at the test site – the tyre was quickly changed and Jane was on her way … a few inches forward in the queue. Jane said she was tested and back home by 9.30am and was very grateful for Shane’s assistance. “The on-site staff were fantastic. They offered to fix it for me on the spot,” Jane said. “Apparently people get flat batteries a lot, but not a flat tyre.”
