Half price cinema tickets are available every Wednesday and Friday until June 26 at Berninneit.

For a limited time, Berninneit in Cowes is offering half price cinema tickets every Wednesday and Friday until June 26, making it even easier to plan a night out in Cowes.

No codes or vouchers are needed - the discount is automatically applied when booking, including for those using gift vouchers.

It's a simple invitation: come into town, take your time, and enjoy everything Cowes has to offer.

With sessions planned in the afternoon and evening (including 4.30pm and 7.30pm), it's easy to plan your visit around a meal, a wander through local shops, or a catch-up with friends.

And with money saved on your ticket, there's every reason to put that extra towards dinner, dessert, or something special from a local store.

The line-up has something for everyone.

  • The Sheep Detectives, starring Aussie favourite Hugh Jackman - bringing his signature charm to this clever and quirky mystery.
  • The Devil Wears Prada 2 sees the return of Meryl Streep as the unforgettable Miranda Priestly. Need we say more? It's the perfect excuse to dress to the nines, head into town and make an occasion of it.
  • If action is more your style, In The Grey delivers serious star power with Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, bringing high-stakes drama and edge-of-your-seat intensity.
  • There are also powerful and thought-provoking stories on offer, including the moving true story: Pike River, starring Melanie Lynskey (Yellowjackets, The Last of Us), and H is for Hawk featuring Claire Foy (The Crown).
  • There's even more excitement on the horizon, with Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu arriving at Berninneit on June 19.

Looking for something free to add to your visit?

Berninneit Art Gallery is currently showcasing Timelines by Helen S. Tiernan - an accomplished Gippsland artist of Aboriginal and Irish heritage.

Timelines presents new paintings of whales and sea Country, and chronicles of exploration and evolutionary deep time.

Alongside this, the exhibition features some of Tiernan's breakthrough 'Songlines' paintings from 2004, which depicted her research into life for Aboriginal women and children in the Lake Tyers Mission.

A visit to the Berninneit can be more than just a movie.

With convenient parking at the Transit Centre, it's an easy walk into Thompson Avenue and The Esplanade where local businesses are ready to welcome you.

Behind every shopfront is a local family, local jobs, and people who continue to show up each day.

Choosing to shop, dine and spend locally makes a real difference.

The Trading Through the Transformation campaign is all about supporting Cowes during this period of change and reminding the community the town remains open, accessible and full of experiences.

So why not make a night of it?

    Come into Cowes.

    Do a little shopping.

    Enjoy a meal.

    See a movie.
