A crazy hairy day

Cowes Primary School recently witnessed an explosion of creativity and enthusiasm as students in the Junior School Council led an incredible Crazy Hair Day event.

Held on June 20th, this day not only showcased the unique hairstyles of students but also raised funds for State Schools Relief, a remarkable organisation dedicated to supporting students in need.

The Crazy Hair Day was a testament to the incredible imaginations of the students, who really let their hair down – or did it up – to celebrate the day.

The participants showcased a kaleidoscope of vibrant, gravity-defying hairstyles that truly defied expectations. From colourful extensions to towering sculptures adorned with ribbons and accessories, the staff said the creativity on display was awe-inspiring.

The funds raised on Crazy Hair Day will support State Schools Relief in their mission to ensure that all students have equal access to the resources they need to thrive academically.

By providing essential items such as uniforms, shoes, and stationery, the organisation helps to level the playing field for students who may be facing financial hardship.

Crazy Hair Day was not just a celebration of extraordinary hairstyles; it was a celebration of the power of student leadership and community engagement.
