Junior and Middle School teachers and staff got into the spirit of the Newhaven College’s PFA Colour Explosion Run, creating many laughs for the students.
The aim of the game was to capture as much colour on your clothes as possible. This group of Junior School students managed to do that well.
Newhaven College Year 3 students Darcy Wright and Nixon Dunk had a ball during the PFA run Colour Explosion Run.
Middle School students, Eden Miller, Miranda Howlett, Georgie Callis and Ruby Mowlam got into the spirit of the Colour Explosion Run at Newhaven College.
Newhaven College’s Parent and Friends Association (PFA) organised its annual Colour Explosion Run. for Junior and Middle School students last month.
Students ran through an obstacle course while parent and student volunteers ensured they exploded with colour. A group of Junior School teachers and support staff also dressed up in crazy blow-up costumes.
President of the PFA, Angel Chambers, was thrilled with the enthusiasm shown by all who participated and is proud of the PFA fundraising efforts.
“The Colour Explosion Run was a great day with lots of energy and excitement from our Junior and Middle school students, she said.
“Aside from the colourful fun run, students also showed off their moves in dance-offs. The day helped us raise funds for a brand-new Middle School playground.”
The College PFA consists of current parents and other supporters. Their focus is to raise money for specific projects and activities to benefit College students.
“The PFA wants to extend thanks to everyone who helped support and make the Colour Explosion Run a successful event,” Angela said.
“Principal Mr Corr, Heads of Sub-Schools Ms Huther, Mr Arceo and Mr Torstonson, teachers, maintenance staff, volunteers, parents and those in the community who donated and helped fundraise and make it a memorable day for all those involved.”
