The school year includes a range of outdoor activities, including extensive camps and outdoor education programs, surf academy and equestrian team, the unique Year 9 Environmental Centre and sustainability initiatives. In addition, students can participate in music, theatre, sports, including a tennis academy, leadership programs, as well as creative and cultural pursuits.

Newhaven College is calling for applications for their General Excellence Scholarship for entry into the College in 2024 and are awarded to applicants in secondary school at any level who can demonstrate outstanding abilities in one or more of the following fields:
- Academic
- Sport
- Performing Arts (Dance, Drama, Music)
- Leadership
- Community Involvement
General Excellence Scholarships are awarded based on application and interview.
Applications close Friday May 26, 2023.
