Newhaven College’s annual VCE Art and Design Exhibition for 2025, a celebration of creativity and innovation, is currently on display in the College’s Performing Arts Wing foyer.
The exhibition showcases the achievements of the College’s VCE students, who have worked throughout the year to produce an impressive array of works in a variety of media.
The exhibition highlights the outstanding Unit 3 and 4 works from Art Making and Exhibiting, Visual Communication Design, Media, Product Design and Technologies, and Systems Engineering.
The College said the exhibition is “a true reflection of the students' dedication, creativity and hard work”.
“Each piece tells a unique story, demonstrating the range of artistic, technical and design skills honed by students during their VCE journey,” a College spokesperson said.
“From intricate design concepts to thought-provoking art and media projects, the display offers something for everyone to enjoy.”
Opening the exhibition, the proceedings were presented by Visual Art Captain Sienna Bell. Art teacher Rebecca Power announced the prizes awarded to Michael Mehes for ‘Best in Show’ and the encouragement award went to Ailish Flynn for her hard-working and committed attitude.
“There was no doubt these two students represented all of the outstanding talent in the VCE cohort.”
