In recent weeks, Newhaven College Senior School students have enjoyed the chance to celebrate their school, teachers, parents, and each other.
The students enjoyed dressing up and joining together in celebration before the hard work of final exams and assessments kicks in.
The celebrations kicked off on August 3, with the Year 12 cohort at RACV Inverloch Resort. After making their entrance on the red carpet and enjoying mocktails, the students gathered for group photos and selfies. Once dinner was over, the night truly came alive as everyone hit the dance floor, embracing the festive spirit.
On Saturday August 17, the Year 11 students and their parents or guardians gathered at Silverwater Resort in San Remo for their own celebration. A dance competition between students and parents added to the fun, bringing everyone onto the dance floor.
As they near the final stages of their time at Newhaven College, students begin to reflect on their school years.
Principal Tony Corr is impressed with the 2024 Year 12 cohort.
"Our Year 12s looked resplendent in their evening attire and a thoroughly enjoyable night was had by all. An occasion such as this makes you realise how grown up our students have become as they prepare for their exams and the world beyond school.
"The formal is one of a number of important milestones that our Year 12s experience as they enter their final few months of secondary schooling."
