The Block hosted an Island Fun Fair on the Cowes foreshore last week, attracting an excited crowd of children and locals.

The fair was part of a challenge and the team at The Block opened it up to the local community.

The Fun Fair was sponsored by Arnotts and included stalls, games, rides and entertainment.

The Wonthaggi Citizens Band performed on the foreshore and all the contestants created a store as part of the challenge.

Hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft enjoyed mingling with the local crowd.

"We were overwhelmed with the turn out, people loved it," said a spokesperson for The Block.
