The Committee of The Island Story Gatherers has assembled an impressive line-up for the 2024 Festival of Stories in August.
Raising the bar for the local literary festival, the lineup includes a Walkley Award winning journalist, a former Australian of the Year, and several renown authors and broadcasters.
In an announcement last week, the organising committee said it was thrilled to announce it had locked in the following presenters:
- Rosalie Ham, author of The Dressmaker, and Sue Maslin who produced the movie.
- Former ABC presenters Kerry O'Brien, a six-time Walkley Award winning journalist and broadcaster, author and public speaker Jacinta Parsons.
- Author, children's writer, journalist, playwright, dramatist and radio show host Wendy Harmer, as well as Rosie Batty (AO), domestic violence campaigner.
The 2024 Phillip Island Festival of Stories will be held at Berninneit, 91-97 Thompson Avenue, Cowes from August 2 - 4.
