Experience the highest quality the Gippsland region has to offer at the Meeniyan Garlic Festival this Saturday between 9am – 4pm.
Meeniyan Garlic Festival is excited to announce masterclasses and expert wine matchings from award-winning Gippsland winemakers.
A new addition to this year’s festival, the Gippsland Wine Academy is offering a curated list of over 30 wines. The masterclasses will showcase the variety and uniqueness of Gippsland’s wine production and cuisine.
The wine masterclasses are designed to demonstrate the qualities of various varieties and different producers, so guests and wine enthusiasts can appreciate what the region does so well. A selection of the wine vintages featured in the experiences are no longer available in stores, so this is a rare opportunity to taste wines that have received critical recognition, as well as learn more about each winery.
The masterclasses will be held in a dedicated tasting room. All guests can purchase wine from the Gippsland Wine Academy bar to enjoy with unique dishes created for the Meeniyan Garlic Festival from The Tinamba Hotel and The Long Paddock. The masterclasses are open to twenty-four people per tasting (pre-purchase tickets online).
The Gippsland Wine Academy will be led by Len Evans Tutorial (LET) wine scholars, Marcus Satchell from Dirty Three Wines, Lisa Jenkins from Fleet Wines, Dan Sims of Revel Wine and Pinot Palooza, as well as Head Sommelier Matt Jensen from Melbourne restaurant, Farmers Daughters.
