TRPI hosts special film screenings and discussion

Totally Renewable Phillip Island and Westernport Water have joined forces to present the Damon Gameau film “Regenerating Australia” and host a Community Social.

The event kicks off on Saturday, April 30 at 2pm at the Penguin Parade and includes three separate screenings at the Nature Parks theatre and a chance for the community to talk with groups interested in what regeneration means for the island.

Groups present will include Nature Parks, Westernport Water, Totally Renewable Phillip Island, Phillip Island Business Network, Cosy Homes, Phillip Island Conservation Society plus more.

Doors will open to the public at 2pm. The film is 17 minutes long and will be screened at 2.30pm, 3pm, and 3.30pm on the day.

People are welcome to come along just to see the film.

Tickets are free however bookings are necessary for theatre capacity: tickets can be reserved via Eventbrite.com.au.

Zoe Geyer from TRPI said community groups and community members are welcome to remain in the café/foyer area for the duration of the event for socialising and discussing a positive future in Phillip Island and beyond.

Local musicians Paul Patten and CAVEMANverses will be playing.

Local children’s author Meg Humphrys will be crowd-funding her new book ‘Wave of Change’ and the Nature Parks café will be serving drinks exclusively for the event.
