Exciting new programs at San Remo
San Remo Primary has had a wonderful start to the year.
San Remo Primary has had a wonderful start to the year, said Principal Karen Bowker.
"With 22 new preps and other new families to the school, we have 170 children at our school this year," Ms Bowker said.
"The numbers seem to be growing each year due to the new housing in the area but also because we offer strong educational programs that give all students the opportunity to learn in a safe and supportive environment.
"We have a strong focus on catering to individual differences and caring staff who encourage and help children to learn and socialise in a supportive environment."
The school has some exciting new programs happening this year as well, which the school community is very excited about.
"These are STEM being taught by Daniel Earle and The Resilience Project," Ms Bowker explained.
"The Resilience Project is a whole school community program, which includes our parents and carers and will be rolled out alongside our Zones of Regulations and Respectful Relationship Programs within classrooms.

"We are very excited this year to finalise our Whole School Masterplan, that will create new learning spaces and set our school up for 21st Century learning and provide a wonderful space for the community in out of school times.
"We are looking forward to seeing this work begin at the end of the year, when building commences.
"In the meantime, we have our sensory play area and garden space being started next week, and can't wait to show it off when it is finished."
In 2024 the school's OSHC partner TheirCare will offer a holiday program each term break to children in the area.
"You don't have to be enrolled at San Remo Primary to access this program in the holidays, just visit the TheirCare site to access any details.
"This is a wonderful opportunity and service for local working families and we are pleased to support this," Ms Bowker said.
