What’s the point of all that?
Another year bites the dust
Finals footy arrived in the West Gippsland FNC on the weekend, with Bulldogs Reserves and Under 18s playing elimination finals on Saturday and Sunday, with the Seniors and Under 16s scoring a week off!The weather gods did not smile on the Saturday with the Reserves up against Koo Wee Rup in windy and wet conditions at Bass, whilst the Under 18s headed to Garfield to play, well Garfield. Go figure!
In a weekend of close results everywhere, including deciding spots in the AFL finals, points were to become critical to the Bulldogs outcomes, at AFL and West Gippsland levels!
Reserves
In blustery conditions, the pressure was intense, but it was Koo Wee Rup who took advantage of the wind in the first quarter kicking the opening four goals of the game.
Ben Miller was prolific for the Demons, putting goals from all angles.
These four goals were to be it for the Demons!
From the beginning of the second, the Bulldogs took the ascendency.

With the rain pouring down at the start of the second quarter the Bulldogs managed to gain control in the middle part of the ground.
Luke James was working hard in the ruck and Cooper Logan and Jack Opitz were providing plenty of grunt around the contest.
The nail-biting final quarter saw the Bulldogs try and chase down the scoreboard deficit.
Will Taylor-Eagles and Marcus Wright did their absolute best but ultimately the Island fell short by the smallest of margins.
