On Tuesday, March 30, the Victorian Open Championship Shoot Out event will be held at URBNSURF in Melbourne.

Local surfers Harry De Roth, Joe Van Dijk, Lannia Fostin, Sophie Fletcher and Sage Goldsbury will all be competing.

The “winner takes all” surf off will see nine contenders for the state championship titles battle it out in men’s and women’s competitions.

The top six surfers from the Phillip Island Open Series event held at the end of February were offered a spot, but some were unable to compete due to injury. Three wildcard competitors are also included in both the men’s and women’s event.

The wildcard process was put in place due to the Phillip Island event clashing with the Maroubra Pro QS1000 in NSW.

Details and tickets to the event are available via the Surfing Victoria website.
