"The council budget was an absolute disgrace. It doesn't need tinkering with, it needs to be voted down, thrown out and started again," the Phillip Island Football Netball Club told council at a hearing on the draft budget, arguing the Cowes oval is overused and worn out (photo taken before 2025 turf restoration work).
