For the love of Ivy

Maureen Mortlock of Cowes said it was love at first sight when she met English Cocker Spaniel Ivy about seven years ago.

“She started life at a horrible puppy farm breeding and at five she was surrendered to a foster carer,” explained Maureen.

After dealing with a few medical issues, Ivy was put up for adoption and this is where her path crossed with Maureen.

“It was love at first sight, and we have been constant companions since that first day I saw her. She even follows me to the toilet,” Maureen laughed.

Now aged 12, Ivy is a dignified senior, battling some issues of old age, but still loves to zoom around the back yard whenever Maureen comes home.

While most readers sent in photos of their much-loved pooches, Ivy received special treatment!
