Frente - Archies Creek Hotel
Frente play Archies Creek on February 11, promising a "shared live experience that almost always involves awkward dancing (that's us, not you) and a monstrous sing-a-long".
Frente burst onto the Australia music scene in the 1990s charming fans with their "indie folk pop" at a time when grunge was dominating the music scene.
The band reunited for a nation-wide tour in 2023 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Marvin.
Now Marvin is coming to Archies Creek and singer Angie Hart said she's excited to be visiting again.
"I've had the experience of Archies, but the whole band hasn't.
"We've been doing a few duo and trio things at the moment, so this is a lovely thing to do together," she said.
Alongside her musical partner Simon Austin, this iteration of Frente includes Ben Wiesner on drums, Tamara Murphy on bass and Sophie Koh on keys.
Angie describes her band mates as "top notch players" and says the team is "gig fit" after last year's tour.
Going back on the road to promote the album - which was a platinum selling record when it was released in 1992 - has been a beautiful surprise she said.
"The shows have been like a big warm hug.
"There's been a great turn out and great sharing," she said.
Frente play Archies Creek on Sunday February 11. Doors open at 2.30pm, show starts 3pm.
