Fundraising for disadvantaged kids
VIEW Club celebrated its 28th birthday, with “Christmas in July” at the Phillip Island Golf Club.
The Phillip Island VIEW Club last month celebrated its 28th birthday, with “Christmas in July” at the Phillip Island Golf Club.
VIEW Club members from Wonthaggi, Inverloch, Bairnsdale and Southern Peninsular joined with members, with 60 attendees.
Guest speaker was Maggie Millar, a former actress, artist, and writer who starred in many roles on television and in the theatre.
Club members received service badges, including Jan Cram who received her 20 year badge, and Annie Hoffman and Nancye Sinclair received their 10 year badges.
VIEW members across the country support the education of disadvantaged Australian children by raising much needed funds for The Smith Family.
Currently the Phillip Island VIEW Club sponsor children, helping with education essentials.
There are 1600 children sponsored with VIEW nationally.
The Phillip Island VIEW Club meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 11am for 11.30am start at the San Remo Hotel.
