A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Phillip Island surfer Jordan Van Der Heyden, who was diagnosed with lung cancer late last year.
Organised by his cousin Riley Guy, the funds will help Jordan and his partner Ebba cover the costs associated with travelling to Melbourne for treatment, medication and day to day living expenses.
Riley said since the diagnosis Jordan has been on “a rollercoaster of hospital admissions” including chemotherapy and radiation, and extended stays in hospital. Ebba has been by his side throughout, and consequently, the couple have had no income since the diagnosis.
“Jordan is well supported by his family and friends but he needs more support if he is able to keep on fighting for his life,” said Riley. “By donating to this Gofundme you will be showing Jordan how much people do care and want to help.”
So far, the fund has raised over $18,000 of its $25,000 goal.
