Garden wins for local school

Our Lady Star of the Sea (OLSS) is celebrating two big wins from the recent Victorian School Garden Association (VSGA) award ceremony.

The OLSS gardens won the “Greatest Demonstrated Improvement of a School’s Green Space” in the South Eastern Regional Award category. The category was noted to have the highest number of entries and was the school’s third award through the VSGA.

OLSS then went on to win the State Award for “Primary and Special Schools with less than 280 pupils”.

“We are so proud of our students’ efforts and enthusiasm in the garden,” said Principal Catherine Blackford.

“Every student has played such an important role in achieving this award and we look forward to investing our award vouchers into more amazing garden projects.”
