As Official Supporter and Broadcaster of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023™, Optus, offers teenagers the opportunity to take part in a nation-wide Inspiration Grants worth $192,000.
Optus is awarding 64 inspiration grants, each valued at $3000.
The grants are open for those aged 13 to 19 to ignite their passion across all disciplines – sports, science, arts, and beyond.
With 64 matches to be played in the Women’s World Cup, there are 64 moments for everyday Aussies to find their inspiration for their grant application.
“Optus wants to help inspire the next generation of teenagers,” Cam Luby, Head of Consumer Marketing at Optus said.
“For young Australians, we want to help remove some of the daunting challenges teenagers face when making decisions about their future dreams, with financial burdens being a key barrier.
“Our Inspiration Grants program is there to help young people kickstart their dreams and realise their full potential.”
Aussie legends and Optus ambassadors are also getting behind the initiative with Ellie Cole and Mack Horton encouraging young Aussies to get inspired, dream big, and say yes to pursuing their passion by applying.
“As a young girl, I looked up to a number of female athletes, and watching them compete on the world stage ignited a fire within me to do the same,” Ellie Cole, Australia’s greatest female Paralympian said.
“The next generation of world champions, world leaders and inspirational creatives will be able to see just how far your dreams can take you.
“You’ve got nothing to lose, so take the shot and apply for an Optus Inspiration Grant today.”
Mack Horton, Gold Medal Olympian said: “Some things in my life that have helped me to achieve my goals are saying yes to new relationships, moving states, and probably the biggest one is surrounding myself with likeminded people with likeminded goals.”
The only way to score is to take the shot.
Apply online via www.optus.com.au/grants and say in 100 words or less ‘What future goal are you inspired to say yes to, and how would this grant help you achieve this goal?’.
The Optus Inspiration Grants are not just for aspiring sport athletes; any local aged 13 to 19 who has aspirations in all fields, passions or disciplines is eligible to apply for the grants.
Applications close on August 20 as the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ comes to an end.
