Round 3: Motorsport Australia Victorian State Race Series 2023
The PIARC promoted Round 3 of the Motorsport Australia Victorian State Race Series 2023 is providing “access to motorsport” this weekend at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.
With 10 categories there are over 208 cars competing in the 30 races scheduled at Australia’s most picturesque circuit.
The largest field is Improved Production Cars (including BMW E30) which has 37 diverse entries from a total of 50 permissible on the starting grid.
Formula Ford and Formula Ford 1600 have a fantastic 29 entries, Excels 25 Formula Vees 23 and the new for 2023 Toyota 86 Scholarship Series with 29.
Parochial Holden verses Ford fans have 22 Saloons to watch in battle, whilst support also comes from the Fast and Furious Sports Sedans, Porsche 944s and HQs.
Action a plenty is assured from 9am to 5pm daily on the newly upgraded circuit.
Family friendly admission via EventBrite online is great value with Adults weekend passes a mere $40, Sunday only $35, Saturday $30. Kids under 16 admitted free all weekend.
This meeting is the second of four race meetings being promoted by PIARC (Phillip Island Auto Racing Club) for 2023, and one of five for the year with Club involvement, all with the added importance of helping the Island’s great history as a racing Mecca.
PIARC spokesman Geoff Bull says the club is hoping even more entries in total for this fantastic series which continues to get better by the year with great racing.
This event is Round 3 of the 2023 Motorsport Australia Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships which is being conducted at Phillip Island and Sandown throughout the year, with a Winton event, earlier in the year at Benalla.
