Get the shot

Pago Sampson from First National Real Estate in Cowes said the support of friends, work colleagues and neighbours helped get her through her recent 14 day quarantine.
Pago was due for her second shot of AstraZeneca when a good Samaritan act of her own exposed her to Covid.

She picked up a patient from the Royal Melbourne Hospital who had undergone open heart surgery.
“He was in attendance in the Covid-affected cardiac ward, a Tier 1 site and had to be discharged due to the outbreak.
“He tested negative, but still had to quarantine for 14 days at home.”

That meant Pago had to quarantine as well and cancel her booking for her second vaccination.
“It’s only 14 days, but it feels exaggerated,” she said.
“Thank you to work colleagues, friends and neighbours who have helped with delivering shopping and medication.”

She’s now cleared quarantine and had her second shot.
