These holidays, why not try something new?

Pickleball is a new sport, combining tennis, badminton and table tennis, which can be played indoor or out.

The Bass Coast Y is holding Pickleball come and try sessions to give people a taste of this fun new sport.

With simple rules, this fast-paced and competitive game is growing in popularity – in fact it is currently the fastest growing sport in the United States – and looks set to take Australia by storm.

Fun and friendly for all ages, the come and try sessions will provide all the equipment needed. All you need to do is show up, get on the court and learn and enjoy the game.

The Phillip Island free come and try day is September 13, from 10am – 12pm, at the Leisure Centre, 10-14 Church Street, Cowes.

There will be two sessions later that day in Wonthaggi, from 1.30pm – 3pm and 7.15pm – 8.15pm, at the Bass Coast Aquatic and Leisure Centre, 41 Wentworth Road.

The sessions free, but bookings are essential.

Register your interest at wonthaggi.ymca.org.au or call 03 5672 4194.
