Graham Jackson and Daryl Major memorial shield

Phillip Island Bowling Club travelled to Wonthaggi for the inaugural Graham Jackson and Daryl Major Memorial Shield on Saturday, October 7.

Both men were well-known and decorated bowlers: Graham from Wonthaggi Bowling Club and Daryl from the Phillip Island Bowling Club.

To honour Graham and Daryl's memory both clubs decided to play a practice match before the start of each pennant season.

Wonthaggi Bowls Club hosted this year's event for teams from division 1 to 4.

At the end of the day after some tight matches and some excellent bowling Phillip Island came out on top to win.
